Safe Harbor Breaks Ground
Last week was the official groundbreaking ceremony for Safe Harbor Ohio. The groundbreaking ceremony for Safe Harbor Ohio was an event years in the making. While the journey to launch this initiative has been long and hard, it signifies a much-needed promise of hope for both current and future victims of sex trafficking in the state. A faith-based, long-term, residential, therapeutic community for girls, ages 14 through 19, who have been recovered from sex traffickers. This new facility will provide safe housing, faith-based counseling, education and life skills women age 14-19 who have been recovered from sex traffickers.
In addition to providing comprehensive services and care, Safe Harbor will be equipping girls with the necessary skills and resources they need to reintegrate into society. Through partnerships with local businesses, schools, churches, and other community organizations, Safe Harbor will provide the girls with meaningful experiences such as job training and internships that can help them develop.
